Teen STAR

Teen STAR™ is a developmental and wholesome curriculum that helps adolescents and young adults learn not only about sexuality and fertility but also assists them in making responsible decisions. Beginning with the physical, the young person can then integrate their intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual aspects of their persona and mature into a fully integrated human being.  Teen STAR is Sexuality Teaching in the context of Adult Responsibility.

Classes are offered in small group format.  Classes can be taught from a Christian or secular perspective.  This class meets weekly for 11 weeks and includes a modest amount of homework.  $200 recommended registration donation per family.

About the instructor

Rachel Maxim is a licensed midwife with a private practice in Roseville.  In addition to providing comprehensive maternity care, she teaches an array of classes in the topics of childbirth, breastfeeding, natural family planning, infant massage, parenting, and Teen STAR.  She enjoys supporting families and she believes that a strong family unit is vital for the individual and the society.
